Subject: [Lon] 1901 Census
Date: Sat, 22 Dec 2001 13:17:00 -0500

I have been so busy holding my breath for the arrival of this census, I'm
afraid it has affected my brain. I am sure question has been covered at
some point so forgive me for asking it again, but:
Will this new census eventually become available to other sources such as
LDS libraries and family history societies or will it be available only
on-line indefinitely?
As to the cost of on-line viewing, I do agree that it sounds expensive
(especially since I have just recently joined the "fixed income" ranks
myself), but if the fees charged have offset the costs of hurrying the
project along then I can understand. Hurrying becomes especially
important to me since I, like Josi, may soon run out of time, eyesight or
the ability to hold my head up for long periods of time. I have been at
this hobby/obsession for nearly 16 years and hope, with a little luck for
another 16. Sounds like a long time until you consider we'll have to
wait another l-o-n-g ten years before the 1911 census is available.
Happy Holidays to one and all, and to quote Tiny Tim "God bless us
everyone"!
