OK I admit it, even knowing who my Mother's Father was I have had problems finding his parents due to their name's and didn't think it would be easy.
I know who my Fathers parents were and where they lived. Easy then I hear you say.
I have spent the last 2 hours on the 1901 census and am pleased to say my Mother has a Mother (which she is quite relieved about) but as for the rest of them......
There is only so many ways you can spell Cornford or Whiteman and believe me I have tried them all. If I can't find the easy ones I stand no chance on the others.
