I have the 1891 Census CDs and I find them really helpful. The main problem is that they're not indexed, so you have to have a fairly good idea of where your ancestors lived. Also, they're quite difficult to read, but then so are the films, and at least you can do it in the comfort of your own home. I find that if I print the pages out, they're much clearer.
