The Free Census project has the stated aim of presenting the
transcribed, fully searchable data on line. For some counties this is
already partly available - e.g. Devon and Cornwall

Why not have a look at the web site and join us as a transcriber -
read all about it at http://freecen.rootsweb.com/ The more volunteers
we can get, the sooner it all becomes available world wide. You do
not need to be in the UK to be a volunteer transcriber, there are many
in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
