Good Afternoon Listers
This is a plea for help.
I have the following information.
Margaret M HARRIS a widow, seamstress of 23 Brewer's St Goswall aged 30 and
her daughter (no name mentioned) 7 years also Joshua (Josiah) HARRIS,
carpenter of the same address aged 15 yrs single all applied for free
passage to Australia 24/10/1838. Arriving South Australia 17/4/1840 aboard
the "Warrior".
I haven't been able to locate Goswall. Is/was Goswell a place? Could it be
somewhere around Islington, Middlesex?
Would SKS have access to an 1838 Directory and be able to do a look up for
me.
I also believe that Margaret M (Matilda) HARRIS was married to Josiah
HARRIS, goldsmith London. Possibly Middlesex. Unfortunately I do not have a
death date or place. Obviously it must have been 1838 or prior possibly
c1831-1838.
Any advise or assistance would be most welcome
Thanking you in anticipation.
