Hi Angie
Just a thought on the BECK surname.
I have a BIRCHMORE lady who married a man called George William Henry
BIEDERBECK or BEIDERBECK at St Paul, Newington on 24 Mar 1894. (GRO
reference in the ST SAVIOUR Register District)
Third hand information was that this chap changed his name to BECK at
about the beginning of WW1 because of its Germanic character. I
have no further info on him or his possible descendants, but I have a
transcript from the Marriage Register if this is of interest.
Regards
Frank W

Subject: [Lon] BECK at Putney Vale
Hi
1st time on this list. Looking for
BECK - HARBROE - COLLINS in Uxbridge 1806-1865, Middlesex, Surrey &
London
Emma Louisa BECK, My grandmother, passed away March 7th 1939 & was laid
to rest at Putney Vale Cemetery. Story goes that all the BECKs were
buried there. I believe it is a very large Cemetery - is there any way
of finding out who else would be there?
I can't find any details of my uncle who was called 'Non' born between
1893 & 1904 as I don't know his real name, I also think there was
another child, maybe John who died young. They moved around a bit,
Kensington, Fulham, Pancras, Chelsea to name a few.
What I would love is for Some Kind Person who lives near or could visit
Putney Vale Cemetery & see if there are any records and/or graves. I
know this is asking for the moon but even if you could point me in the
right direction as how to go about getting this info I would be forever
grateful. If the 1901 census was at my finger tips over here in Western
Australia maybe I could work it out.
Also always on the look out for
BUTLER in Bath 1875-1928, ROSE & POOLE in Bristol 1827-1900, PORTER in
Bedminster 1825, MOCKRIDGE in Som. or Glos.
SAGE, KIRTON, BOND & DARK in Calne 1815-1838, BUTLER, SMITH & WEST in
Corsham 1798-1844
JACKSON - WALLWORK - BRYCE in Lancs 1866
Thanks, Angie in Fremantle
