> My grandmother on my mother's side was a GUNARD and the family reputedly
came from Ireland to London in the mid to late1800s.
> I have six UK Birth Certificates (including my mother's) dating from 1898
to 1909 all stating that the Mother's Maiden Name was GUNARD.
> A search of the 1881 CD-ROM census lists only one (yes that's right only
one) GUNARD family in the whole of the UK - and it isn't mine!

used all the wild cards when searching the 1881 census but no luck.
> Also when I was in London I searched at the FRC for the marriage
certificate of JOHN GROGAN & JULIA GUNARD (the mother and father of the
above 6 children) between 1887 and 1899 without success
> At sometime, probably late 1800s or early 1900s the GUNARD family lived in
SULTAN STREET, CAMBERWELL.
