Subject: [Lon] DONALDSON- GOOD NEWS!
Date: Sat, 1 Feb 2003 19:03:56 EST

Well list- I have good news I thought I would share.
Many of you have seen my posts bemoaning the fact that I can not get a lead
on my ancestors William and Mary DONALDSON in Marylebone- however I have
their descendants, Henry (my GG Grandfather) and his sons Thomas and Arthur
(my grandfather)
Thomas had immigrated to the US in 1906 and I have been incessantly
subscribing to e-mail lists, posting to message boards, etc.. trying to find
his descendants.
Well it paid off! I got an e-mail from my heretofore unknown 2nd cousin
today!
And her father, who is alive and well at 94, and my father, who is alive and
well at 83- are first cousins who never met or knew of each other until now!
My fathers father was Arthur, her fathers father was Thomas!

I had to share the excitement- and let everyone know that patience, and
persisitence (sometimes to the point of obsession!) sometimes pays off in a
big way! God Bless the Internet- that's now 2 branches of the family I have
been connected with now. This never would have happened without the good old
Net, and help from fellow listers!

Sally
