Oh dear - no offence was meant at all, I was merely trying light-heartedly
to show the difference between a minister of religion who may not have been
terribly concerned about the niceties of register completion (borne out by
many cases of haphazard and incorrect returns etc. - See M.W.Foster, "A
Comedy of Errors"), and a man who was handling certificates all day and
every day and knew the rules and regulations by chapter and verse.
I agree with everything Tony has written, he is quite correct, and if I have
offended anyone then they have my heartfelt apologies.
