Hi Listers,

I trying to find out about a CLARK family in London and am having no luck at
all. This is what I have so far:

Alice Beatrice CLARK married Harvey Ernest WALKER on 11 Jul 1897 at St
Andrew's Church, Islington. Her age is given as 18. Her father is listed
as John Joseph CLARK, a Sawyer. She is living at 14 London Street.
Witnesses were Robert Charles WALKER and Jane CLARK. Robert WALKER is
Harvey Ernest's father.

This suggests a birth date of abt 1879. From the 1901 (when she is aged
21), her birth place is given as Islington.

I have however, been unable to find her birth record in the GRO indexes, or
any reference to her in the 1881 census. I have tried looking for John
Clark(e)'s on the 1881 and 1901 but have had no luck.

Can anyone suggest how I might get her birth certificate or more information
on her and her parents.
