Dear Listers,

When my gg grandfather George Gosslinn joined the 11th Dragoons at the age of 20 about 1825 he gave his occupation as "watchmaker". I presume by then he would have completed an apprenticeship, possibly in the Westminster area.

Would someone be able to tell me if information on apprentices was recorded and if so where I would need to start looking.
