I have just found that the witnesses at my great grandfathers wedding
married a year later. Looking on the 1881 census, they are listed as being a
jewel case coverer, and glass painter.

They lived in the Holborn area of London, which would have fitted with those
occupations.

One of the sisters was a 'Feather Curler' which sounds an interesting
occupation!
