Marjorie, just to expand on my previous answer to you, since some on
the list seem confused about the meaning of some words in the English
language! I suggested that you might find the name of the father on a
full certificate - that is, it is a possibility! If the father didn't
acknowledge the birth, as I said, the name will not be on the
certificate.
I have looked on FreeBMD for a George SAUNDERS in 1858, but without
success - though their transcriptions of the index are not yet
complete.

Hi Anne

Not entirely correct. I had the same thought regarding the fathers name
being Saunders.

I searched Free BMD and I found George William Saunders Marylebone Jun QTR
1859.

I realise that there is the added William and the year slightly out. However
when I ask
Marjorie for the source of her information she said that it was hand me down
information
through the family therefore it is possible that the dates don't match.

I sent the above information direct to Marjorie and to date have not had
acknowledgement
to my email

Regards

Michael
