I have received a birth certificate this morning for 20th March 1842 in
Saint Pancras. Unusually, perhaps, it has stated the time of birth as
11.30 pm. Am I right in thinking that this usually only happened when
twins (or heaven forbid more!) were born or is it possible that mother
and Registrar were just being extra particular. There is no father.
