Subject: [Lon] THURSTON and BILLIARD TABLES
Date: Fri, 19 Mar 2004 11:41:42 +1100
Hi all,
I am trying to solve the connection between surname of THURSTON and billiard
tables.
Family lore states a child called Emma was associated with Mr. Thurston who
either went to South Africa or came from there. Down the track (time) he
was called LORD THURSTON. There is also the billiard tables connection
as Australian family members were called THURSTON and their occupation were
makers or sellers of these tables.
Could SKS with access to Trades Directories between 1833 and 1900 do a
lookup for me to see if the above surname and billiard tables get a mention?
I have been trying to link these two items together for 10 years with ZERO
luck.
Many thanks to a response to my query.
