Hello Listers,
I have a relative, Elizabeth Fussell, and possibly another sibling, who
became an orphan on the death of her mother 14 October 1858 while living at
1A Dukes Terrace Kentish Town.
The family stories are that she/they went to an orphanage, but that might
more accurately have been a workhouse. I dont know even if she went there
immediately because there may have been some support available until the
early 1870s.
Could any lister help me with information on the likely workhouse(s) that
she might have gone to and how I might be able to access records for the
period?
