I remember it too I lived in Morden, Surrey end of the Northern line, I was
working with my mum around 1960 and can remember walking home from the Tube
station since we figured it was quicker than the bus. Remember also seeing
on more than one occasion in the morning the fence around the roundabout at
the bottom of St Heliers Ave that someone had run into in the fog instead of
going around
