Oh how right you are. Suddenly the old Talza Arcade came flooding back when I
read your email. Unless you'd been there, you'd never know the warren it was
and what a place for a kid! Narrow alleyways leading in and out,
criss-crossing, and tiny shops that offered everything, and I do mean everything. The one
that sticks in my memory was the haberdashery shop, Everything you could
possibly think of relating to that trade, and barely room for the trader to sit
behind her counter.
How I miss those little gems. Everything is so sanitised now and
characterless.
