Subject: Where, oh where, is Richard ?

Unproven Rounce/Bunney research: No East End Rounce/Bunney prospects yet
found in 1881 census. In the 1901 census there is a Rounce family,
living in Ratcliff, an adjoining district to Limehouse: Eliza, 32,
b.St.Georges; Richard, 22(?), carman general, b.Ratcliff; Clara, 5,
b.Ratcliff. There is a marriage, Mile End, December quarter, 1892
(1c/805) of Richard Rounce to Eliza Crisbey Bunney (neither found in
IGI or 1881 census). There is a 1895 birth registration for Clara Emily
Rounce, Stepney, September quarter, 1c/398. Rounce: Nothing further
found for Richard Rounce, b.Ratcliff. There are Rounce entries in the
IGI for Shoreditch and Stepney.
There is a [best prospect Free BMD's] London marriage, William Rounce to
Rosina Boyce, September qtr., 1868, Bethnal Green. In the 1881 census
they were living at 7 Weaver Street, Bethnal Green; William, 47,
b.Lowestoft, Suffolk, warehouseman; Rosina 38, b.Islington; children:
Robert Boyce, 21, b.St. George in the East, pattern card maker; Rosina
Boyce, 20, feather curler (dresser); William Rounce, 10; Ernest, 9; and
George Rounce,3, all b.Bethnal Green; scholars . This is the only
marriage in London prior to suggested birth year (1869) of Richard
Rounce (not found as Richard Boyce to 1881). Where was he aged 12 years?
If this Richard (1901) is Clara's father, he was only 13 at marriage and
16 at time of Clara's birth?? but Eliza Bunney would have been 23/26??
If the 1901 age is wrong (32 perhaps??) it could fit better. On Clara's
birth reg. her father is Richard Rounce.
He would be either 2 or 12 in the 1881 census but no Richard Rounce
found there on LDS CD Roms. No birth for Richard found on Free Online
BMD's. Rounce is a Suffolk/Norfolk strong ties name.
Eliza Bunney still to be found in 1881 census. Found in 1871 and 1891
(16 Joseph Street, St. Georges in the East). Is Mile End a clue?
Any suggestions appreciated. I realize there will be further info. on
the 1892 marriage reg. Les Hewett, Napier, NZ.
