Thanks Joy for this tie-in with the Irish. My first Mina did have an Irish
through her mother . So I'm going to buy this one. We had no Wilhelmina's or
German influence in this line so your response is the first one to trigger a
reason for the
name in my family.
But it has been an interesting thread to follow and my thanks go
to all those who have contributed pronunciations and the backgrounds for
never met or heard of another Mina until recently. Now I know there are a
lot of them
out there ... with varied pronunciations.
Mahalo to all the LONDON-Listers for helping me to decide upon just WHO my
Mina Julia Hay Chapman was and how she got her name.
