On 22 July GRO issued the following:

- A Press Release about the proposed changes to registration.
- A Draft Regulatory Reform Order (55 pages)
- Explanatory Notes (339 pages)

All these can be accessed and downloaded from www.gro.gov.uk They'll make
good bedtime reading (for several nights!).

Obviously they cover far far more than the changes affecting details
supplied on certificates.

No dates are proposed, but even the pessimists on this list (VBG) will see
that the changes are far too complex to be rushed through at short notice.
My view is that the changes affecting what we can obtain on certificates
falling within the 100 year rule will not be implemented before October
2005, and January 2006 is the most likely date.
