To aid lookup, the page number for Caroline HOLMES in Piece 17 is 26.

The page numbers in the online index tend to disappear off the right-hand
side of the screen if you have less than full-screen view. If you scroll to
the far right and click the "heads-and-shoulders" icon, you can see the
other people in the household with the same surname.

> In the 1871 census Thomas John Shillingford and wife Caroline plus 3
children are living in Bethnal Green. Thomas was born 1847 and Caroline
1848. I think I have located them in the 1861 London census name index.
Thomas is piece number 260, page 202. Caroline, maiden name Holmes, is
piece number 017 but no folio number.
