I did look for them in the 1851 census, but strangely, the numbers for
Constable Row don't seem to go up that high. The street is only covered on 4
pages, with some other streets intervening.
I wonder if it was somehow left off the street index, because the 1851 PO
Directory lists a lot of houses on Constable Row.
Listers- any suggestions as to why Constable Row MEOT seems to be missing?
It is only listed at HO107-1553 298-299 on the 1851 census. I checked my
Addenda CD and nothing there either.

Sally
I know of Josiah, that is one of the things I will be looking at now that I
have more time to do family research. Having to come to work has been a
problem at times !

Hopefully you will get this message. I happened to look in my 1851 PO
directory, and at 16 & 17 Constable Row there is a Josiah Benjamin AVILA,
pawnbroker. Must be the father of Lydia.

My suggestion is not to unsubscribe, not to give in despite the
despair that negative results may give. You just never know when
something may turn up.
