There was a well known builder, Cubitt, whose firm built a great swathe
of new housing in London as well as municipal buildings and tunnels etc.
And when he was given a peerage, he chose as supporters for his arms two
labouerrs with shoevl and picks, and crossed picks as a crest. Good man,
that.
