Dear List

I know the names and birthdates of three sibling ancestors in 1842, 1846, 1848 and where they were born but am unable to find their birth GRO records.

I have trawled 1837 online from 1842 to 1855 (in 1854 they were all three christened at Old Church, St Pancras) but cannot find any of them.

Neither can I find a marriage for their parents - this was their father's second marriage, nor can I faind the death of their father which occurred sometime between the 1861 and 1871 Censuses. Have found the death of their mother though.

Needless to say all this searching has not come cheap!

Is it that these events were never registered (I realise that even this second marriage may have been pre-1837)? Or are there other possible explanations?

I'd be grateful for any ideas
