Can anyone give me an idea of where to look for information.

I have Ethel Kate Carter born 1889, Surrey Sutton,
Ethel Kate Davenport died August 28, 1947. Wilson Hospital, Micham Surrey,
address 73 Chestnut Grove, Mitcham, Surrey.

Married Ambrose Davenport after 1915, Ambrose died before Ethel.

They travelled to India with the Army after their marriage. Ambrose was
musician (cornet player) Govenor of Bengal Band.
They returned to England and lived in Mitcham, Surrey.

I am trying to find any family they might have had. Are there any references
to check for 1920 to 1947. On the death certificate of Ethel it states
Ambrose Davenport Highland Clerical Position.
So far have been unable to find a marriage date.
Any help would be appreciated.
