Hi all - It is often said that registration was not compulsory, but I have
found every single one of the 33 of my and my wife's ancestors who were born
after registration began. Some required perseverance, like the one who was
registered as Edmund Williams, but was known as William Williams all his
life from the age of two. I eventually found him using his exact date of
birth from his employment record.

What are other people's experiences - how many of your ancestors are truly
missing rather than just unfound yet?

Roger
