I fought my way through to London Gazette advanced search and clicked on
'specific dates' to narrow it down a bit for starters. I entered just the
surname GLEAVE and asked for anything between 1900 and 1910. Wonderful
results - 44 hits out of which 10 dealt with the various stages of the
bankruptcy of the family cotton-mill. Worth every minute of it, I'd say,
and a huge thank you to whoever posted the link.
