Subject: Death Registrations - without a body?
Date: Wed, 26 Apr 2006 19:33:32 +1000
G'day all,
An off-List conversation has prompted me to ask for help on a particular
aspect of Death Registration which applies currently just as much as in
those late 19thC years where Registration seems to have been a bit iffy.
What happens if there is no body?
As an example - a boat sinking, or a mining disaster, where the body is
either not found, or is unidentifiable?
What if a person has lost a spouse in such a circumstance and then wants to
get a new one.
I'd never thought of this angle before - and realise I've no idea what the
rules are.
Perhaps other ignorants would be as interested as me in knowing.
Regards
David of Oz
