Hi Alison
Trouble is you need to know where he lived to start with. ERs of 20 years
ago aren't online to start with. And then they are listed by address, not by
name.
You could try both of these;
192.com
www.192.com
A directory enquiries and electoral register site with advanced search
options. You will need to register and there is a charge for most searches.
BT
www.bt.co.uk/directory-enquiries/dq_home.jsp
The official BT directories enquires online, searchable by surname and
geographical area covers all of the UK.
