John, found this in the Camden History Society's book "East of Bloomsbury",
(Regent Square is in the London borough of Camden):

"A terrace of old houses survives on the south side of the square ... nos
4-6 were from c.1863-1904 the Homes of Hope, for young women deemed too good
for the workhouse because of their previous good character; by 1919 they had
become a base of the Women's Training Corps."
