Is there anyone who can help me with the following query? Sometime during WW2 a couple of landmines were dropped on the Forest Road end of Pearl Road, Walthamstow. These demolished houses on Pearl Road near Forest Road and also a church on the other side of Forest Road. Houses in the adjacent Brookdale Road were also damaged. At the time my grandfather was liing at 74 Brookdale Road and had to move to 35. I am trying to get an accurate date for this bombing - I think it may have been 1943/44, as I would like to find out when his move to 35 happened. I have emailed Waltham Forest Council with this query, but the only response I had was that if I didn't receive a reply within 10 days to telephone them. I'm hoping that someone on the list might be able to help before I have to resort to this.
