I am trying to find out just where my grt grandfather was born. In the 1851 census aged 12 it says London Middlesex "no help at all" in the 1861 living a short distance from his parents now 22 it says Cripplegate is Cripplegate in Middlesex?
his name was Charles TEMPEST born 1839
Father Abraham TEMPEST tailor born 1814 London Middlesex
Mother Jane MILES born 1822 Monmouth
They all arrived in Birmingham in about 1840 his Mother died in 1848 his father remarried in 1850 and he died in 1863 having had 5 more children
Any help would be great Ray Tempest.
