I have looked on both, but cannot fine her. What is her son's name?
Perhaps looking for him might find Charlotte.

Would SKS have the time to seek Charlotte McFarlane on 1851 and/or 1861
census, please?

1841 census had a Charles McFarlane, 35, female, at 5 Gray Coat Street, St
John's Westminster.
An 1839 birth certificate for her son (same address), at which she was the
informant, shows that she was, in fact, Charlotte!
