My husband has just traced 2 of his Isle of Wight Ancestors to the above
'schools' (workhouses?) on the 1891 census.
Does anybody have any information about these places please e.g. where they
were sited? Are the buildings still there? The census pages do not show any
address except - for the old school - London, St Mary, Norwood, District
Lambeth Old School - (RG12/419 151 .)
Any information about the place or where I could look for such information
would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Yvonne
