Hi List

I'm helping a Lady from NZ. Her husband has ancestors from Greenwich RD,
Woolwich Arsenal Sub RD. I have found William & Ann GOLDSMITH in the 1841
England Census, with daughter Maria and son Oliver. Oliver was born 27 Mar
1841, in Woolwich. There were other children, but names not known.

Could SKS point me towards the parishes or churches the children might have
been baptised in please? Hopefully then the LMA will have the registers, and
I can ask someone for specific lookups.

I will suggest to the Lady that she obtains the birth certificate, and I
have sent her the GRO reference. But she would like to identify all 5
children.

The only other information I have is that William was in the Sappers, and
based in Woolwich. He joined the NZ Fencibles, and the family emigrated to
NZ in 1849 aboard the Berhampore. Perhaps records of the Sappers exist in
London as well.
