Dear Margaret
When I am using the ships list leaving lists and the people are
heading to Canada. I use the less expensive offer and get the name
of the ship and the date it left and access the information from the
Archives of Canada which has the ships passenger list digitize but
not indexed. One searches by name of ship; date of arrival (usually
6-9 days after departure) and viola, you have the information. I
find there is more information on the ship's passenger's list than on
the leaving lists. This way it costs a lot less.
