Hi Ron

I have no birth/baptism records for John or Elizabeth, haven't been able to
find them so far.

I've found two possibles on the 1841 census, but neither John or Elizabeth
are with parents. John is under Ideson.

I started with my husband's grandmother and worked backwards. So know from
children's birth certs that parents are John ? and Elizabeth Howlett.

The first child was reg as ICKSON, the next 5 were reg as ITESON and the
last 4 as IKESON.

I have 1871 census, he is Hickson; 1881 he is IKESON mistranscribed as
JKESON; 1891 he is IKESON mistranscribed as Schesser. Elizabeth is living
separately and is ICKSON. John died in 1899 as IKESON.
1901 I have Eliz as IKESON living with a son. She died 1917 as IKESON.

There is a family story that they decided to unify the name to Ikeson.

I really wanted to find the marriage to enable me to go back a bit further!

I've looked through the parish records 3 months on, but it's not there. I've
also tried looking for variations but no luck.
