Since my recent query I have found that Harcourt Pugh was in the finance
business and a Company Promoter at 23 LIME St (Transcription error by
South Australia) I have also found Hugh Merion Pugh's death in South
Australia, aged 47, single, living at Walkerville. He died before my
GGM, so didn't get the use of the cottage given to her by his younger
brother.

My wife suggests that he may have been an invalid, sent to SA for his
health (That's why her ancestors migrated), and that GGM as a
respectable widow may have been a suitable carer. I haven't yet looked
for a shipping record for him, but it seems most such available are for
earlier years.
