Julie, to answer your other question, records of the High Court would
be in the National Archives at Kew, records of the County Courts would
be in the relevant County Record Office, in this case the London
Metropolitan Archives under section LJ. Magistrates Court records are
also at the LMA. But you would need to find out which court the
hearings took place in otherwise it will be a long search.
Have you any relatives you could try to ask for more details? Or a
local paper might have reported the rows, especially if they ended up
in a court hearing.
