Good Morning Listers from an extremely HOT Durban!
For many years I have been searching for this information - hopefully more
records are available now.
I would like the Birth Records if possible of:
. Appleine BURTON born approx March 1820 - Tottenham High Cross &
. Mary Anne BURTON born in 1821 - also Tottenham High Cross
To Edward and Sarah BURTON.
Maybe they are in the All Hallows records- as that seems to be one of the
only churches records that have not been transposed?
In 1837 they were in a Workhouse or Childrens Home - and then were sent to
South Africa in September 1837 with the Childrens Friend Society to be
apprenticed to the Barry's of Swellendam - they were NOT orphans and were
educated!! - Could definitely read and write.
Thank you
Dianne Butcher
