Hello folks,
I have a gggrandfather John Sharman married Jane Alice Ewen 4th July 1837 in the Royal Chapel of St Peter in the Tower of London. Residence of both is shown as "Tower Liberty" and there is no info on either father or bridegroom's rank or profession. Both of them were of full age.

Any ideas as to what they would have been doing there? Possibly working? Where might I find more information. I have emailed the Tower to see if they can help but as I have to do everything on line I'm wondering if there is any other source of help.

As they went on to have a family I don't think they were waiting to be executed thank goodness!
