GREAT BALLS OF FIRE, JOHN CALVIN, WE MITE SCREW UP AND FIGGER THESE FOSTERS
OUT AFTER ALL!!!
Mr. Tucker, forgive me for not reading your note first, You give excellent
info. I will have to contemplate this a day or two.
The Samuel Foster I am looking for was born ca. 1750 or earlier and MUST
have come over with Dr. Clark in 1764. He married my aunt, Eliz.? Kidd, d.o.
George & Eliz. Kidd of Long Cane Creek who arrived 1783. Samuel was called a
"Commissioner of the Presbytery" about 1800 and i have no idea what that
means.[help Ray? Beaudrot?] They had one child, named George Foster, and they
must have moved away fairly early, but i dont think it was with Rev. Porter.
I had never thought about it, but this Samuel of Mr. Tucker's in Laurens
District with his 10 children could have been the father of some of the
Fosters we cannot figure out in Abbeville. Did Samuel leave any kind of estate
papers in Rabun county? A. Nony Muss
