>From Hard Labor Section by HT Cook (great book) the following is a list of
those who bought on credit from William Calhoun. Wm. returned to the Long
Canes after a going to VA.. this was after the Calhouns went back to their
abandoned houses after the Indians were subdued in 1763.. He opened a store
and credited/sold corn, wheat, rye, flour, potatoes, beef, pears, flax seed,
hogs, cows, bacon, pork, saws, and apparently most of all rum and liquor.
REBEKKA CARSON worked 5 months for a cow.
CHARLES BOZLES was convicted for cursing & swearing 10 oaths in the presence
of the Justice of the Peace (himself)
