Any comments on Rhonda's suggestions? I'm open to anything. Did check with
the florist today, a dozen roses arranged would be about $76.00 (seems
Washington DC is high rent district for roses).

I was just thinking, the flowers would be nice, so let me discect what
you have so far

$395.00, and of that, I would say $150.00 will cover the cost of shipping
the typewriter, supplies and flowers. So that would leave about $245.00.

May I suggest that the money be put toward purchasing a seat in
Constitution Hall ($500). There would be a plaque and we could put the
following (or something close to it):

In Honor Of
Elizabeth Looney
Looney Bin Group

Got to remember, only so many letters and spaces per line. This is
something that the DAR has been promoting, and it would not only benefit
the DAR (as it costs about $500 to remove, repair and reinstall those
seats) but it would be a way to honor her FOREVER! And, Constitution
Hall is not only for DAR - as a matter of fact, Whitney Houston just
preformed there this month and it was on HBO.

I think she would be thrilled to know that the group would remember her
like that.

My only other suggestion is a Large Print subscription to Guideposts. A
one year subscription would be $13.94 or a two year subscription would be
$21.94. It is a Christian magazine that comes monthly, and is 'a
pratical guide for sucessful living'. She has always come off as a good
Christian woman, and there are many uplifting stories each month - that's
why I think it would appeal to her. If you thing something like this
would be ok, let me know and I will send you the address - no phone
number listed!
