My ggg-grandfather, David Reason Looney's brother, Joseph Kyle Looney came
to Jackson County, TX and was granded a Mexican land grant (of which I have a
copy) by Santa Anna and settled near Dewitt settlement. There is a great
deal of history on him & others (online) in the Texas Archives.
