Subject: Mezick and Nelson/Waller?

I'm no longer certain whether or not this lady is in my line:

Elizabeth NELSON, b. ca 1695, probably in Somerset Co. Maryland. She m.
a Jacob MEZICK in Somerset County. Her father, John NELSON,
died intestate in 1761, and his 2 daughters, Elizabeth (Nelson) MEZICK
and Alice (Nelson) CROCKETT were deeded his land, "Ignoble Quarter".

I'm a descendant of Julian MEZICK of Somerset Co. Maryland, through his
son, Jacob. I recently got info that Jacob had been married to a lady
named Elizabeth WALLER. I had originally thought that my Jacob, b ca
1680, had married 1st Rachel COVINGTON (with issue, 2 daughters) and 2nd
Elizabeth NELSON around 1715 (with issue, 5 sons).

My new source says the marriage of Elizabeth NELSON was actually Jacob
Mezick _JR_, son of my Jacob. My Jacob died before FEB 1761. His will
names his wife only as "Elizabeth". The new source asserts that this was
actually Elizabeth WALLER, not Nelson as I had thought.

So, I need to do some more digging on this family to find out who this
Elizabeth Waller was. I've recently had a note from a gentleman named
John Lyon, who has quite a lot of very interesting info on several of my
lines. He mentioned an Elizabeth Waller, b. 14 Nov 1689 in Somerset, the
daughter of William Waller and Bridget Nelson, saying she was really the
only credible Elizabeth Waller in that time period, since William was the
only male Waller in the area at the time. He didn't, however, have any
marriage information on her.

I'm getting rather far away from your original NELSON question, eh?
Sorry. But if anyone has anything on this Waller family, I'd love to
hear from you!
