Hi Dan,

Nathaniel and Molly did not actually marry on 12 Dec 1801. They received a
marriage license on that date.

Molly Bassett was the sister of William Bassett who died in Worcester Co.,
MD in Aug. of 1834. His Will (LPS1, 23) mentions his sisters: Elizabeth
Davis (widow of George Davis), Molly Brittingham (wife of NATHANIEL
Brittingham) and Sarah Brittingham (wife of John Brittingham).

William Bassett, Molly Bassett Brittingham, Elizabeth (Betsy) Bassett Davis,
and Sarah Bassett Brittingham were all children of William Bassett Sr. whose
Will dated 13 Jan 1832 was proved in Worcester Co., MD on 25 Sep 1832.
William Bassett Jr. was the exec. The Will also mentions William's wife
Elizabeth, another daughter Sophia, another daughter Rachel Bassett Adkins,
and two deceased sons John Bassitt and Benjamin Bassitt. (Wor.Co.Wills

I hope that this helps a bit.
