The Blakes of Isle of Wight, Va., seem to have some
connections with Blakes in Somerset Co., Md. I am looking for
any information about an Edward Blake, a ship captain in the
mid-1700's who movedto Charleston, SC, in about 1764.
Also, is there any record of a marriage between Charles
Blake (alias Price) and Mary Ratcliff of Somerset County, MD.,
probably c. 1730's?
