We had one of the best day`s of this year on the Oxford / St.Michael
bike route, 30.2mi. Made a number of stops, did the ferry, Oxford
museum, then stopped at one of the riders friend`s weekend house across
from Oxfordon the water.
I could write a five page letter about this house. Sheila took 40 exp.
of film alone there. They had to move this old house 65ft. away from the
water, added on while finding old hardware of the times (of origin) for
the house..money was no object, Southern Living did a photo shoot there
last year. The gardens were unbelievable! Laura spoke up once seeing the
boat at their dock....off we went for an hour..what a tour up to the
Bay.all around! Back at the house, all the windows were open, with the
curtians blowing in the breese..no bugs..just cool air...said our good
bye`s and rode 9mi to the finish at the CRAB CLAW, St.Michael`s. When we
stopped at the museum to see the Scottish prisoners ship list`s, the man
went wild when we mentioned we were with the Clans of Scotland, he was
also a Scot belonging to the Clan Morrison...One of our riders is the
Chieftan of the Clan Morrison Socitey of America...we had a hell of a
time, tring to get out of there. For 30 mi, Laura did great. We will
E-mail the pics of the day latter this week. One of the members ask
Sheila and I to join them next Sunday at "Kings Dominion" for only
$12.00 per ticket (His Company thing) all food included at the piavilion
up to three pm (catered in)..tickets norm. $ 36.00 ea. buy your own
food. Done deal. Lindsay is dropping a friends offer for a Florida trip
for a week.all expences paid.?? She dosen`t feel safe for some reason
driving....so she`ll just have to come with us..
I`m bushed..going to meet my pillow.
